Judith Menendez

MS, LPC-Associate

Supervised by Omar Sesay, LPC-S

Judith received her Bachelor of Science from Xavier University and her Master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University.  She has gained most of her knowledge and experience working is the public school system.  Judith is proficient with helping clients work through their struggles with general anxiety, depression, grief and all those things that cause us unsolicited general stress.

Her philosophy on mental health support centers around the Cognitive Behavioral Theoretical approach (CBT), which is a treatment style that focuses on assisting clients in forming a dialog which helps them to become more aware of their maladaptive and unhealthy thinking. This way, life’s challenges don’t seem so insurmountable.

Here at Pure Hope Counseling we use (CBT) in combination with many other proven theoretical approaches when applicable.  We believe that in providing a safe, non-judgmental and supportive therapeutic environment our clients are able to reflect on, accept and manifest changes in their lives that foster a positive self-image, the ability to cope with life stressors, better decision making skills and an overall sense of love and belonging. We look forward to hearing from you!
