Brittney Dotson, MS, LPC-S, C-DBT

Brittney received her Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology at University of Houston Victoria.
She has gained knowledge from previous clinical experiences helping individuals cope with a variety of diagnoses and accompanying behaviors. Brittney is familiar with working with children, teenagers, young adults and adults who are struggling with addiction and mental illness.
You may be struggling with depression, anxiety, relationship problems or maybe just unsure of what steps to take next. Brittney uses Cognitive Behavioral practices, as well as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy treatment to help clients adjust those unhelpful thoughts.
Judith Menendez MS, LPC

Judith received her Master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University. She has gained most of her knowledge and experience working is the public school system. Judith is proficient with helping clients work through their struggles with general anxiety, depression, grief and all those things that cause us unsolicited general stress.
Her philosophy on mental health support centers around the Cognitive Behavioral Theoretical approach (CBT), which is a treatment style that focuses on assisting clients in forming a dialog which helps them to become more aware of their maladaptive and unhealthy thinking. This way, life’s challenges don’t seem so insurmountable.
Nia Geiggar MS, LPC ​

Nia received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Xavier University of Louisiana and her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Houston. She has most of her existing experience through years of work in the public school system. Nia has proficient experience helping individual clients work through depression, anxiety, grief, as well as helping couples facilitate healthy conversation and emotional maturity. Nia’s theoretical approach is rooted in person-centered theory, as she believes the therapeutic relationship itself is inherently beneficial to personal growth. This view, in concurrence with CBT’s solution oriented methods, help her clients reach their goals and live happier, healthier lives.
Michelle Akinkuolie MS, LPC-Associate

Michelle received her Bachelor of Science from the University of Alabama and her Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Houston. She gained most of her experience working in the school system and with a program that catered to at-risk youth and young adults. Michelle is proficient in helping clients work through depression, anxiety, stress management, career counseling, self-esteem issues, and family conflict.
Her philosophy on mental health support centers around a blend of Person-Centered and Cognitive Behavioral Theoretical (CBT) approaches. This integrated approach focuses on providing a supportive environment where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings while also working to identify and change maladaptive thinking patterns. By fostering self-awareness and cognitive restructuring, Michelle helps clients navigate life’s challenges and achieve their personal and professional goals.
Ellenya Brito
Intern
Ellenya is currently receiving her Masters Degree at St. Thomas University. She is completing her practicum/internship class at Pure Hope Counseling working with teens and other young adults. Ellenya hopes to continue learning how to support those struggling with mental health difficulties.
